Responsibilities:
Project Management – Financial Systems

  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects for financial systems (ERP, reporting tools, treasury, consolidation, etc.) and related integration projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, budget, milestones, and risk registers.
  • Coach and manage project coordinators and workstream leads.
  • Organize and lead steering committees (Business Digital Steering Committee) and project meetings.
  • Oversee go-live activities, including testing, training, hyper care, and post-implementation support.
  • Apply project management methodologies tailored to an SME environment while maintaining corporate-level rigor.
  • Report progress, risks, and key decision points to the CFO and Digital & IT Manager.

Business Analysis Leadership
  • Gather and document business requirements from financial and operational stakeholders (controlling, accounting, treasury, reporting).
  • Analyse current ("as-is") processes and design future ("to-be") workflows together with the business.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Perform gap analyses between business needs and system capabilities; propose and defend solutions.
  • Validate solutions through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and acceptance criteria together with business owners.

Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Serve as the liaison between the CFO, Executive Committee members, and the IT team for all project-related matters.
  • Engage actively with business stakeholders in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Germany, respecting local language and cultural differences.
  • Manage IT partners and external implementation vendors, including SLA monitoring, escalations, and quality control.
  • Build stakeholder buy-in through clear communication and targeted change management initiatives.

IT Governance & Portfolio Management
  • Contribute to the IT and digital multi-year strategy.
  • Ensure quality of documentation, processes, and project portfolio management.
  • Support documentation for IT audits (including ISO 27001) and compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor developments in fintech and ERP technologies and inspire stakeholders regarding the potential of new technologies.

Profile & Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, with a significant focus on implementing financial information systems (ERP, BI, consolidation, treasury, or similar platforms), or equivalent implementations such as Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including accounting, controlling, reporting, consolidation, and/or treasury.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and UAT support.
  • Proven track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional projects in an international environment.
  • Experience with project portfolio management and steering committee leadership.

Languages (Required)
  • Dutch: Professional working proficiency (C1/C2) – internal language in Belgium.
  • English: Professional working proficiency (C1/C2) – used across all countries and headquarters.

Competencies:
  • Analytical and structured, with the ability to quickly understand complex financial and technical challenges.
  • Strong communicator, capable of reporting clearly to C-level executives and translating requirements into actionable guidance for IT teams and vendors.
  • Results-oriented and proactive, taking ownership and making decisions when needed.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic, able to bridge finance, operations, and IT teams across multiple countries.
  • Flexible and eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-changing, growing organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prince2, PMP, or equivalent certification through experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, SAP, Microsoft ERP systems, or equivalent solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies: Microsoft 365, Azure, Power BI, and Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of and strong interest in AI technologies (LLM and agentic AI tool stacks).
  • Background as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in the financial sector.
  • Experience as an ITIL service management consultant, particularly in service documentation.
  • Experience in real estate, logistics, or publicly listed companies.
