Job Summary / Key Skills

• Maintain, enhance and optimise the Apache Airflow platform to ensure stability, reliability and scalability for the Enablement Team.
• Design and implement secure, resilient and scalable Azure cloud infrastructure and networking aligned to Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) principles.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD best practices.
• Monitor platform health, security, performance and cloud spend using Azure Monitor, Grafana and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, driving continuous improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Enterprise Architects and Cloud teams to deliver a secure, scalable modern data platform.
• Lead incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and disaster recovery planning to ensure high platform availability.
• Mentor engineers on cloud engineering, platform operations and Azure best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience designing, deploying and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, networking, security and identity (Microsoft Entra ID/IAM).
• Expertise administering Azure Databricks and Apache Airflow in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Strong Kubernetes (AKS), platform engineering and cloud operations experience.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability using Grafana, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Experience optimising Azure environments for reliability, security, governance and cost (FinOps).
