Title: Connectivity Project Lead (D365 F&O)
Location: Hybrid / Copenhagen, Denmark
Onsite / Remote: Onsite 1 week per Month in Copenhagen
Type: Contract
Start Date: ASAP / September - October
Duration: 6 Months + Long Term extensions 12 Months plus
Utilisation: 37 Hours per week
Languages: English
Task:
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of data and process integrations between the provider’s data platform in the short term, D365 F&O environment from POC through MVP to full integration in the mid to long term, and external partners including 3PL/4PL distribution networks and CMOs/CDMOs.
Standardize and streamline O2C, I2O (warehouse and distribution), and S2P (procurement/CMO) processes, ensuring real-time, compliant integration of orders, inventory, batch, and quality status, COAs, and financial documentation.
The objective is to de-risk execution while establishing the foundations required to scale advanced analytics and decision intelligence capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Project Charter Ownership
- Lead the creation, alignment, and approval of the project charter for external connectivity, covering 3PL/4PL and CMO integrations. Clearly define the scope, objectives, deliverables, stakeholders, success criteria, governance, and risks. Ensure all key internal and external stakeholders are aligned and approve the charter before the project starts.
- Integration Strategy & Architecture
- Own the external connectivity blueprint across EDI/API, linking the L3/L4 processes with D365 standard messages and partner data, including ASN, SO/TO, GRN, COA, batch status, shipment, and invoice information. Ensure alignment with the process library and DevOps/SAB governance.
- Define clear master and transactional data standards for GTIN, lot, shelf-life, BOM, and site/line codes, as well as status definitions such as quarantine, released, blocked, and disposition across ERP and QMS (Veeva).
- Build & Validation (CSV/GxP)
- Lead fit-gap analysis and configuration in D365 F&O with the implementation partner across O2C, I2O, and S2P integration points. This includes quality orders, batch disposition, COA, and warehouse handheld validation.
- Lead the development and execution of URS/FDS, risk assessments, UAT/PQ plans, and validation activities, ensuring all documentation meets the validation standards and CIL change-control requirements.
- Partner Enablement (Connectivity Provider / 3PL/4PL & CMO)
- Create partner onboarding playbooks covering message formats, testing, cutover activities, and SLAs. Coordinate the pilot-to-scale rollout across US/EU lanes based on the Connectivity RFP findings.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across O2C/I2O/S2P GPOs, Finance, Quality, and Site Heads to ensure strong quality controls and financial controls are built into the processes.
- Operations Readiness & Hypercare
- Develop Key User/Super User capability across Distribution and Customer Service, including SOPs for handling exceptions such as ASN mismatches, missing COAs, lot blocks, and shipment issues.
- Set up a war room and dashboards using Fabric/Power BI to monitor inventory accuracy, critical net requirements, and traceability during cutover and hypercare.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Lead CAB discussions for external interfaces and maintain a RAID log covering partner integrations. Ensure GDP/GxP compliance and maintain audit-ready records showing the full decision-to-movement trail.
- Clearly define the disposition authority split: QMS (Veeva) makes the batch release decision, while D365 controls movement and shipment based on that status. This will reduce manual reconciliation, risk, and deviations.
- Future-Focused Innovation (10%)
- Pilot AI-assisted exception management, such as identifying ASN/GRN differences and missing COAs, alongside decision intelligence for lane visibility and dynamic lead-time updates.
- Explore predictive CTP to help reduce expedites and write-offs, with all solutions designed to move from MVP to full scale without significant rework.
Job Summary / Key Skills
- +8 Years ERP/X logistics CMO integrations experience (connecting an ERP platform with external logistics networks, supply chain execution systems, and Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) workflows to automate data flow, inventory tracking, and order fulfilment)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C) - External order capture/acknowledgment, ATP/reservations, pick‑pack‑ship gating by batch disposition, ASN/ship confirmations, invoicing, returns/complaints linkages.
- Source-to-Pay (S2P) - (S2P) / CMO: PO, forecast/schedule exchange, production/milestone status, material consumption, COA, batch creation/release signals, invoice/settlement; alignment of approved vendor & vendor batch verification.
- Inbound to Outbound (I2O / W&D): ASN to GRN, put away, sampling/quarantine, quality orders, lot genealogy, warehouse app/handheld flows, stock reconciliation with 3PL/4PL.
- Warehouse / Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
- Proven delivery of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) / Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL) and CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) interfaces (ASN/ship, order/milestones, consumption/production, COA), and warehouse handheld deployments
- Life Science / Regulatory experience e.g. pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience is a bonus (Vendor Batch / COA (Certificate of Analysis), Disposition, CSV (Computer System Validation))
