About the role:

My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong PKI expertise to lead the technology refresh of its current PKI solution. You'll manage the project end to end and oversee the procurement and contract management of PKI services.

Project management responsibilities

• Manage and deliver highly complex IT projects in line with PMO standards and agreed cost, timescale and quality parameters
• Set and implement long-term goals and objectives for successful project outcomes
• Prepare and maintain project and quality plans, track progress against plan and provide regular, accurate reports
• Take part in working groups and progress meetings
• Communicate with stakeholders as set out in the communication plan and gather their input
• Monitor project expenditure against budget
• Identify and evaluate risks and act to control them
• Liaise with programme management, external suppliers and the account manager
• Manage the change control procedure and secure agreement on revisions from project sponsors
• Lead and motivate the project team and support their development

PKI responsibilities

• Procurement: manage the tender preparation activities and subsequent contract management for PKI services
• Design and implementation: oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of PKI solutions for secure communication, digital signatures and encryption
• Security audits and risk assessment: conduct audits, assessments and vulnerability analysis of PKI infrastructure
• Collaboration: work with IT security and network teams to integrate PKI with other security systems (e.g. VPN, email encryption)
• Compliance and best practice: ensure PKI systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. NIST, ISO/IEC)
• Documentation and training: produce and maintain PKI documentation and train staff on PKI processes

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects, ideally in a PMO-governed environment
• Hands-on knowledge of PKI (design, implementation, audit and compliance)
• Experience with procurement or tender processes
• EU citizen

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification
